Hello, my name is Doreen Rouse and Leeromax is my prefix registered with the GCCF.

My prefix is made up from my children's names (Lee, Robert and Maxine, all now grownup with families of their own).

Breeding and showing longhairs is my hobby, my husband Bob accompanies me to shows, as he is the car driver. Bob's hobby is wrought iron work and he has a workshop set up for this.

My very first cat was Perky Venusinbluejeans. Venus was a Longhair Blue Tabby, carrying Chocolate, Venus gained four Merits and as a kitten was Best in Show at the Tabby Cat Club Show.

In more recent years the Longhair Classic Brown Tabby has become my main interest.

"THE START OF IT ALL" was a chance meeting with a well known Tabby Breeder. We both happened to be in the waiting room of a local veterinary surgery. I didn't even know he had moved to the area.

In conversation I mentioned that I admired his cats and a few weeks later I was very surprised when his wife telephoned me and asked if my interest was genuine. Bob and I visited their home and were introduced to a litter of kittens, one little female appealed to me and I asked if she was available and could she be shown and bred from. I was told "Yes" and if I wanted her would I like to name her.
